THE WEEKEND AHEAD · TOWN OF BABYLON
Nineteen events are on the calendar between Friday and Sunday. Here is the shape of it.
Friday, September 25 — the Long Island Family Festival opens at Tanner Park in Copiague and runs all three days. There is live music on the water at Salt Shack at Cedar Beach, a band at a village bar, and a bay jam cruise with Moon Chaser Bay Tours.
Saturday, September 26 — the busiest day, with ten listings. Two farmers markets run in the morning, in Amityville and Lindenhurst. Belmont Lake State Park hosts a 67th annual family picnic. The Long Island Beer, Wine & Spirits Fest sets up at Tanger Outlets, and AMF Babylon Lanes runs a pro shop demo.
Sunday, September 27 — the Babylon Village Farmers Market at the gazebo, the Long Island 6 Hour 60th Birthday Celebration Run and Relay at Belmont Lake State Park, and two live shows to close the weekend out — Salt Shack and Toomey’s Tavern.
Times, venues and ticket links are on each day’s page. Organizers add events all week, so the Saturday count is usually higher by Friday night.
